Feasibility Studies

Our feasibility team works with prospective and existing Clients gaining a detailed understanding oftheir requirements and reviewing the options, risks, projected costs, funding sources and the advantages available. The process involves engagement with a wide range of local, regional and national organisations and assesses economic and demographic changes in the short, medium and long-term. In consequence our feasibility studies often migrate into formal assignments where Sandiway Energy Consultants are engaged to deliver the project. Studies typically incorporate:

  • Quantity Surveying and Cost Management

    Cost management throughout the project is a key driver in construction, regardless of the economic cycle. This can involve outline budget costs at feasibility stage through to comprehensive Bills of Quantities in support of the tender process and throughout the construction phase.     We act as Contract Administrator for a variety of Clients helping to ensure that the agreed Contract conditions are applied throughout the project, fairly, equally and consistently. As a result all parties can be clear about their joint and separate obligations and responsibilities throughout the construction phase.

  • Energy and Environmental Management and Compliance

    As a result of the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations which came into force in 2008, owners and agents acting on behalf of commercial and Public Sector Clients are legally required to provide:

  • Energy Certificates whenever the majority of buildings are constructed or substantially refurbished
  • Commercial buildings that having air conditioning equipment with a rating of 12 kW or more
  • Display Energy Certificates for public buildings or buildings for public use

  • Our qualified team of Non-domestic Energy and Air Conditioning Assessors work with Clients providing the following services:

  • Level 3, 4 and 5 Non-domestic energy reviews and assessments and certification
  • Air conditioning assessments

  • The inspections include formal recommendations to Clients for cost effective improvements to their current or potential building services which will improve the energy footprint and reduce energy costs.

    We incorporate building services planning and management including Building Information Modelling in construction and remodelling projects for current and potential Clients. This added-value service enables Clients to meet their statutory obligations, improve the energy footprint and reduce costs on an ongoing basis.

    Health and Safety / CDM

    The Sandiway Energy Team includes fully trained and accredited health and safety coordinators.

    Our experience of CDM 2007 – now CDM 2015 enables us to work closely and if required in partnership with Principal Designers to ensure that not only are the legal and statutory requirements met but also that the construction process is properly managed and that Clients are supported in their health and safety obligations . We also advise Clients and other stakeholders throughout the project, providing an end-to end service for the complete construction team.
